Outlook 2003 vs. RPC

Tom

I just installed Office 2003 and for some reason I can't
get outlook 2003 to start. Every time I try I get an error
message saying: "A system component, RPC, required by
Outlook to connect to the e-mail server is not configured
properly. For more information, contact your system
administrator." I get an Error ID 28 in the application
event log.
The RPC service is running, I even installed SP1 for XP
again but that didn't fix it.

Anybody ran into the same problem or any ideas?
Unfortunately Microsoft doesn't seem to have any info on
this.

You are most likely missing one or more of the following registry keys.

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Rpc\ClientProtocols]
"ncacn_np"="rpcrt4.dll"
"ncacn_ip_tcp"="rpcrt4.dll"
"ncadg_ip_udp"="rpcrt4.dll"
"ncacn_http"="rpcrt4.dll"
