Outlook 2003 Won't Start

P

PropellerHead

When I open Outlook it tries to open but within 10
seconds I get the generic Micrsoft Report Error
message "Microsoft Office Outlook has encountered a
problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience." Below the error message there is a check
box that that says to Restart Outlook. If I leave that
checked it will hang up in a loop starting, closing, and
restarting Outlook. I have loaded all of the available
Office 2003 Updates, and all of the Outlook 2003 specific
Updates. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the user's
profile and I have uninstalled and reinstalled Office
2003. I'm out of ideas. Any sugguestions?

Thanks!

try run line command:

outlook.exe /cleanviews

close and relaunch. This may help. If you or the user is
logging into a variety of computers using different
versions, the servers can complicate them.

hope this helped! Lisa

Lisa,

You are wonderful. That worked. Thank you so much!
This particular user is the co-owner... he think I am a
wiz now. I owe you one.

Tanks,
