Outlook 2007 and MS Desktop Search 3.0, which won't install

When it starts, it prompts me to download and install Windows Desktop
Search, version 3.0, which I do. It gets to the place it is working in the
registry and it stops with the prompt Access Denied! I've had this problem
also with IE 7 and RSS. There are lines in the registry that apparently
don't give me (even though I am an administrator) permission to change. I
can change the permissions but when I do, IE RSS stops working. Registry
checkers claim these lines are errors and won't delete them.

I uninstalled IE7 and tried again under IE6 and same thing. Reinstalled IE7
and same thing. I wouldn't care so much but Outlook insists on my
installing this thing everytime I start it. Any help or suggestions?

I've encountered the same problem when attempting to install Desktop Search.
I've also tried to give full controll permissions, as suggested in another
thread, but access is still denied. Are there other registry keys that
should be adjusted? Thanks for any help.
