Outlook 2007 BETA 2 RSS problem

Outlook 2007 B2 downloads multiple copies of RSS messages. When I manually
delete the duplicates and click on the “Send/Receive†button, new copies
appear. However, it does not happen every time and I don’t see any rule in
it. Do you know any solution for that?

did you use a previous beta? if so, export the ompl and delete the folders
and import the ompl. if it re-downloads when you delete, set the folder to
autoarchiver older items and don't delete yourself.

I had a similiar problem when I imported an OPML from thunderbird 1.5.0.2.
They imported from IE7 alright, but then started downloading multiple copies
- 10-15 per message. I restarted Outlook, and it went away. I've seen the
duplicate once again, but it was a one off message.

Confirmed here as well. On my laptop I imported an OPML file from intraVnews
and Outlook went nuts. I had over 10,000 items in my RSS folder! Having
restarted Outlook all is good.

On my desktop computer, I have not yet subscribed to any feeds other than
the defaults (e.g. Internet Explorer Team Blog and Microsoft Feeds). I am
still getting the occasional duplicate there, but not nearly to the extent I
did on my laptop. :)

Follow-up: I just subscribed to one feed manually (right-clicked on RSS
Feeds folder and selected Add New RSS feed...). Immediately it downloaded
two copies of all of the messages. As before, quitting and restarting
Outlook made the problem go away.

I am getting a similar but different RSS problem in Outlook 2007. I had
outlook 2007 on my machine with windows xp. I decided to do a clean install
to vista and re-downloaded office 2007. I had same my opml file on a diff
disk drive. I imported it to Office 2007. I managed to get two duplicate
folders of each feed. And it wouldnt synch with IE 7. I tried to right
click on the dupl folders to delete them and it says not authorized to do
that action. I signed on as admin. I already was one though and tried
everything. It wont let me delete the rss sub folders that are duplicate.
Any ideas??
Alec
