Outlook 2007 Blocked Sender List - not working at all

I have added about 100 email addresses in my Junk Email Blocked Sender List;
but Outlook does not AUTOMATICALLY move incoming IMAP messages from any
senders in the Blocked Sender List to Junk Email folder. I need to open these
messages in Inbox first; only when I close it then it will move to Junk
Email. Any advise on what went wrong greatly appreciated. Rgds
