Like countless others, I need to be able to reply to email messages in
a way that distinguishes my comments from the original, and breaks
apart the original message--a brilliant tactic that was discovered in
the early 90s. But Microsoft continues to put the original message in
a block with that awful line, preventing the reply from breaking it
up.
Now, I am glad to see the > option in rich text, but I cannot get it
to do this in HTML. Nor can I figure out how to force Outlook to
convert HTML messages into rich text. In other words, I'm telling
Outlook to only use the > prefix, but it's telling me that Microsoft
spent more time spying on Apple and developing eye candy GUI than it
did on making option-rich, improved products.
Has anyone found a way to correct the problems I'm having? Other posts
on this topic do not mention my specific problems.
Thanks,
John
