Outlook 2007: Inbox "using colors" not working

Hi,

For some unknown reason, recently my Outlook started ignoring the
rules I've setup to colour e-mails based on rules I had setup. The
rules exist but they're just not being applied and I'm not sure why.

I've scoured the web but can't seem to find any help.

Hoping someone can assist me please.

Have you sorted them correctly? The last rule that applies determines which
color it gets.

It's the bottom of the rule list, however the option to move it up is greyed
out.

I should also mention that the colours are working fine on other folders,
it's just the inbox that it's not working on, and presumably the one set of
rules applies to all folders. That being the case, I'm not sure why Outlook
is being selective in when it applies these rules
