Outlook 2007 New Mail Alerts

Good Day,

I did NOT have this problem with 2003....

I have an exchange account and because of size limitations I have a rule set
up that moves all my new mail from my inbox to a set folder in my personal
folders.

Because of this, the new mail alert or sound doesn't work at all. In 2003
this wasn't an issue as it worked as it should even with the rule.

Any idea's for a work around?

1) When you disable the rule, do you get the notifications?

2) Check Tools >> Options >> EMAIL OPTIONS >> ADVANCED EMAIL OPTIONS to see
if its enabled.

Yes, all my options are enabled as they should be and yes, if I eliminate
the rule the alerts function as they should.
