I have a new Sony Vaio laptop with 2 Gig RAM, 140 gig HD and Outlook Pro 2007
with Business Contact Manager and Norton 360 security. As others have said,
I too have problems with Outlook momentarily not responding. Any ideas what
is causing the delays? I understand that things are happening in the
background such as retrieving email but with previous machines and older
versions of Outlook the result was not “not respondingâ€.
Overall I am very unimpressed with Vista. The boot up time is much longer
than the 5 year old Sony Vaio XP machine it replaced and the problems with
Outlook relative to the lack of issues with Outlook 2003 (without Business
Contact Manager) on the older PC are too obvious to ignore.
