A product overview for the latest BCM (version 3.0) includes a 30 page
overview doc posted here:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/preview/programs/outlookbcm/guide.mspx
Beta2 is already circulating in the company, and is set for a release by the
27th of May. It may slip to June but is rumored for distro at WinHec and
open beta download a few days later. No word on how stable BCM is but Outlook
2007 is supposed to be a relatively stable product.
Advance word says it's based around a similar database model as BCM 2 but
uses SQL server 2005 express. Much more configurable, it's generating the
buzz that it's finally delivering the initial vision for BCM.
