Outlook always checking for errors on restart

Edward Lee

When I open Outlook for the first time after a restart of my computer, I get
an error message that it was not closed properly and is being checked for
errors. I have no trouble opening and closing Outlook until the next time
that I restart Windows. I'm using Outlook 2003 in cached mode with Exchang
Server 2003.

thanks,
Edward Lee

When you shutdown Outlook does the outlook.exe process quit as well? Do you
have pst-files configured as well?

Tips of the month:
-Properly back-up and restore your Outlook data
-Create an Office 2003 CD slipstreamed with Service Pack 1

Hi Robert. Thanks for responding. I AM having trouble with the Outlook.exe
process not ending when I close outlook. Based others' comments, I think
this may be caused by Franklin Covey PlanPlus for Outlook Is this a likely
cause of my problem? Do you have suggestions for dealing with it?

I'll try ending outlook.exe before I shutdown and see if it makes a
difference.

Thanks for any advice,
Ed Lee

According to http://www.slipstick.com/problems/close.htm that is one of the
apps that will keep Outlook open. At the bottom of that page is mention of
two tools to help close Outlook.
