Outlook and viewing contact list on the main screen

I just switched from Outlook Express to Outlook. In Express I could go to
View, then Layout and click on Contacts to have them show up as a list on the
main screen underneath the folder list. Does Outlook have this capability?
If so, I can't find it. Any help is appreciated.
