Hi:
I have a Microsoft Exchange 2000 server that I want to
access mail from a remote office. I am using a VPN which
seems to work great. I am getting an IP Address from the
DHCP server. I can ping the Exchange Server and I can
access my mail from Web Outlook.
I have set up the Outlook client to use only the Exchange
server. While connected to the VPN, I have configured
the service. I place the IP address of the Exchange
Server and the Mail Box. It resolves wonderfully. I
then exit as I am told and try to start Outlook.
Sometimes it sits and times out many many many many
times. Other times, it tells me it can not open the
Information Store.
By the way, the Exchange Server is also my Web Server. I
have 2 NIC cards. Only one NIC card is configured with a
default gateway. This is the public interface. This is
done so I will not experience any confusion in the
routing tables.
Can anyone point me inthe general direaction of where I
should go? I can not believe this an uncommon issue.
Thanks in advance,
Brad Hanson
