Outlook contacts

My contacts are in my contacts folder, but when I attempt to email someone I get a message stating the contact email address is "not recognized". The email addresses are correct, they pop in automatically on the "To" line, but then I can't send an email. Does anyone know how to correct this? Thanks.

Not from what little you've posted. State your Outlook version, the
information store you are using, and how your Outlook Address Book is
configured.
