Outlook contains a bug when you use it to browse the web

If you are using the web functionality in outlook to browse the web (ie, my
ISP has a web-based interface to check for blocked spam and virus-infected
emails before they get to your pop email client), and there is a piece of
javascript on the page that closes the window, it pops up asking "The webpage
you are viewing is trying to close the window. Are you sure you sure you
want to close this window?"

If you answer no, no harm done but if you answer yes, nothing appears to
happen (which nothing SHOULD happen because they've embedded the browser),
BUT outlook becomes unstable immediately, sometimes crashing. You are not
able to click on any of your other folders to see their contents. You get an
error "The Operation Failed"
