Outlook- Distribution List -can't access

I created a distribution list on Outlook and now it can not be accessed. The
message says out of memory, but my help desk says my memory is fine. It is
possible that I typed in too many names, but the system never gave me that
warning. How do I now get at the names without retyping the lists? If I
have to retype then what is the limit on the number of names in a private
distriubution list.
