Outlook download msg bodies before delete it

Why Outlook 2003, when using IMAP, downloads the entire msg body before delete it ? Outlook Express don´t have this behaviour - it just mark and purge de msg making the management of msg much more fast.

Try toggling the File | Work Offline command on before marking IMAP folders.
Message bodies won't download in that state.

It all depends on what your priorities are. Try it both ways. Also, you can
mark and delete messages without downloading them by using the right-click
context menu, but some people find that a little less convenient than just
pressing Delete.
