Here's an update as to what I've done and it seems to have corrected the
issue I posted I was having.
I copied all of her contacts to a temp folder which I named Contacts1 and
emptied her original contacts out of her original Contacts folder. Copied
the Contacts from the Contacts1 folder back into the original Contacts
folder on her pc and now sending email messages when clicking on TO and
scrolling thru Contacts to select seems to work fine.
Original Problem:
When I hit the 'To...' button on a blank email it brings up the 'Select
Names' window, and I select 'Contacts' from the 'Show names from the...'
drop down list box. When I try to scroll down through my list of contacts I
get this error:
Program Error
OUTLOOK.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will
need to restart the program. An error log is being created.
....and Outlook closes.
I can access it just fine by hitting the 'Contacts' icon in my Outlook Bar.
I can right click on a contact and New Message to Contact brings up what I
want, UNless I want to send to multiple contacts. I tried another machine
and did not have the problem. I've uninstalled and reinstalled MS Office
2000 professional, I've created a new Windows 2000 profile and the problem
persists. Another user's Outlook profile does not have the problem on this
pc.
I am running Windows 2000 Professional SP4 and Outlook 2000 SP3 Security
Update, with all recent service packs.
Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
