Outlook Express 6 upgrade

Hello,
I recently lost all my program files when my c drive died and need to reinstall and upgrade them. The program I'm most concerned with is Outlook Express 6 (I have Windows 98). I've gone to the Microsoft site but cannot figure out what the best upgrade would be, that is compatible with this version. Any suggestions?

(The last time I upgraded, a year ago, I lost all of my emails. Didn't think that would happen so I'm a little leary. Fortunately or unfortunately I don't have anything to lose now because they all went the way of the C drive.)

Outlook Express 6 is the latest version of OE. If you're re-installing
Windows 98, I would go to Microsoft's website & download Internet
Explorer 6 & Outlook Express 6.

If you're upgrading your operating system to Windows XP, you'll have
both IE6 & OE6.
