Outlook Express IMAP to Compuserve Problem

HI, I approached Compuserve about OE not working, especially SMTP . They directed me to their routine for their server Protocol. I checked all the appropriate boxes in OE, till the end, where I was requested to click Yes to Download Folders. An MS End Program keeps coming up. This has been happening for weeks.
