Outlook Express - Lost messages when I installed XP

I have 'lost' all my email for the last year+ when I
updated from Win 98SE to XP Home. I reviewed the MKB
article 312359 but I wasn't able to find any .dbx files
on my computer using Explorer.

The world won't come to an end but I would like to
recover all the missing e-mail.

Has anyone had this problem and knows how to fix?
