Outlook folder will not show as an e mail address book OL 2002

When I right click a OL contact folder and go to properties dialog box>outlook address book tab - the check box "Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book" cannot be activated. Also "Name of the Address Book:" is also greyed out.

I want to know how to get e-mails from contact or address books on my local machine or internet directories ot show up when I double click on the "to: or cc:" when drafting an e-mail.

If you go into Tools | E-mail Accounts, click View or change existing e-mail
accounts, and click Next, does the Outlook Address Book service appear in
the list? If not, you will need to add it.
