"Outlook has encountered a problem and must close"

I keep my outlook open at all times and recently, I have
received a dialog box that says, "microsoft has
encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry
for the inconvenience." How can I fix this? I have had
no new upgrades, downloads, etc. Have a network with
another home computer in our house, but it is off.
Please help.
