Outlook - Inserted Pictures - AOL's new IMAP capability...possible problem

J

JV

Hi,

Can anyone confirm/duplicate this issue/problem I'm experiencing...

Steps to take...

1. Create a new Outlook 2003 (that's the version I'm using) HTML email
message and inserted/embed a picture in the message area.

2. Send the message to an AOL user

3. Have the AOL user access/download the picture embedded email message into
Outlook using AOL's new IMAP capability.

4. Did the recipient receive the picture as an embedded picture within the
email message, or as a file attachment?

I can't seem to be able to send an email that contains an embedded picture
to an AOL/IMAP/Outlook user ... Instead the embedded file seems to always be
received as a file attachment instead.

Can anyone else duplicate this problem? I want to be able to send embedded
files to AOL-IMAP-Outlook users so that the picture displays in the message
area.

Bye & thanks,

Does the message show up as expected if the AOL user uses AOL to open the
message?

As I posted to your other message, if you aren't having problems with other
recipients viewing this message as you composed it, it's an AOL issue.
