Outlook Keeps shutting down

I'm using office XP on Win NT OS and when I click on a
link / file from an email or open another office program
(excel, explorer, etc.) Outlook automatically closes
itself.

What could be the problem?

advice is take a backup of your Registry before u go ahead with it ok

The problem isn't that the program immediately quits, it
quits at random times. I went to the thread and the
registry matches exactly as the thread says. Any other
suggestions.
