outlook keeps starting

i recently installed OL2002 sp-2 into a new install of win2k. somehow i
have gotten an OL flag set or another program set to load OL out of the
blue. i can be working on another program and all of a sudden OL will load.
last nite i left my computer at the 'desktop', during the nite i connected
over a vpn and found OL running. i exited it. several hours later when i
got to the office it was running again.

anyone have some ideas on what i can check to figure out how to prevent it
from running til i click it?
