Outlook locks up in calendar

I just upgraded my computer from Windows 2000 to XP Pro with Office 2003
installed. Now whenever I go to the calendar and click on an item that has
a reminder outlook will lock up. The system has been fully upgraded
including all office updates and XP SP2 any ideas?
