Outlook new release

Easy question but I can't find the answer on Microsoft web page.
When is a new version coming out. Currently own 2002.

The current version of Outlook is Outlook 2003. I understand an Outlook
2005 is in development, but that's just a rumor.

I guess its safe to say - since it is rumor only - a new release is far off.

Microsoft has said that they will not release a new version of Office (and,
therefore, Outlook) until the next version of Windows is released. Figure AT
LEAST 2006.
