outlook newsreader

I have successfully patched in the newsreader, but there is no button for
it. how can I add one? Also, the address book in the newsreader is the
address book I want in the email view, but I can't see how to move it over
there.

Care to post your Outlook version so we can answer?
Are you asking how to import the Outlook Express' Address Book into Outlook?

V

violinguy

I
It's the version included with a Dell one month old...the most recent
version I'm guessing. Here it is again. It is not the Outlook Express
Newsreader. It is a new patch that adds a newsreader to Outlook. It is a
separate page that opens over the Outlook page, and it does look
suspiciously like the OE newsreader renamed. I bring it up the way the old
OE newsreader was brought up, by clicking under view, etc. But there is no
button. Can a button be created? and about the address book, what I'm
asking is how to bring the address book from it to the email page that
precedes it.

There is no "patch"... you are either talking about

To get the News command back, go back to the Programs tab in Control Panel |
Internet Options and change the default newsreader to Outlook Express. If
OE prompts you to make it your default newsreader the next time you launch
it, click the "Don't ask me again" box and then click the No button.

You may need to reset the menu or toolbar using Tools, customize.

I keep saying that my newsreader header reads : "Microsoft Outlook

the changes, it is this way. Are you saying that I am making this up?
