Outlook Office XP 2002 - CENSORED E-MAIL

Does anyone know how to overide the censoring of e-mail
attachments. I have been sent many "proper" attachments
and outlook always removes them saying "Outlook blocked
access to the following potentially unsafe attachments:
[then the name of the attachment]." Now, why do they
automatically remove attachments they do not know if they
are unsafe. I feel that I am capable of deciding what
mail I want to receive. I was doing research and e-
mailed a bunch of sites, really proper sites, and all of
them were deleted so now I am up a creek and have to re-
d0 the research. I am ready to ditch Outlook and go back
to AOL. To me this is censored mail. Is there a way to
overide it?
