Outlook or CRM

I own a small company and need a Customer Relationship
Management software system. Looking at Microsoft CRM as
well as Outlook 2003 Beta software. We are a small shop -
9 employees. Seems the new Outlook and CRM are very
close to each other - Outlook is low-cost, CRM is high.
I'm worried Outlook will stop building CRM functionality
in it and turn it over to CRM. Any advice?
