Hello All,
I just saw some of the strangest behavior of Outlook ever.
I have a person running Windows XP and accessing an
Exchange server, so when they launch Outlook 2002, they
must put in a password, domain, username. Today, she got a
message saying "Exchange Server is not avaialable." No big
deal, she went ahead told Outlook to work offline. She has
more than one email account, one for the Exchange server
and another for an imap server; despite this, Exchange
seems to take over everything, since she was unable to send
any New mail.
She got a message saying the "Information Store is not
Available" every time she tried to go to create a message.
She tried a few more times to create a new mail message to
no avail. Then, all of sudden, the machine just cuts off
by itself, like someone pulled the plug. I'm the systems
admin and I didn't believe her until I replicated the
behavior myself! I thought it was because Outlook 2002
flakes out when the Exchange server is not available,
still, this is too weird when it just flicks the machine
off without warning. The System logs say nothing and her
install is fully up to date with all Office and OS updates,
any ideas?
