Outlook Process Will Not Stop When Exiting

About half the time I exit Outlook 2000 on my Win XP Pro
box it doesn't ask if I want to delete items in my
Deleted Items folder and just quits. I Ctrl-Alt-Del to
Task Manager and the OUTLOOK.EXE process is still
running. Why is this happening? This sometimes happens to
me at work with Outlook 2000 and Win 2000 SP4 but not
nearly as much as here at home.
