Outlook re-opens itself

Outlook 2002 (XP) keeps reopening itself constantly and
it simply wont stop - in fact, it is almost impossible to
type this message because outlook keeps reopening itself
and maximizing itself. This just started today and for no
apparent reason. I seriosuly need help; this is keeping
me from using my computer because it reopens itself every
freaking second. I have all the latest patches.

Reopening in what way? Does it crash and then restart or does it simply take
focus all the time?

Hi,

It actually opens up a new copy of the program every few
seconds. I had over 240 copies of outlook running at one
point, at least according to my processes list. And each
one takes focus so I can barely type these messages
before a new one pops up.
