Hello,
I had the same issue the past few days.
I logged into Outlook Web Access (OWA) with Internet Explorer. In its
"calendar" section there is a button "show reminders" with which I dismissed
all reminders. Now the problem seems solved. It may be related to the Outlook
client being in cached exchange mode and perhaps synchronization starts
failing somewhere? Anyway, I think I have a workaround solution.

Tried the cleanreminders but when I restart Outlook the same old reminders
and any new ones appear. The list is growing!

After furious head scratching, Rosewood asked:
| When I click the dismiss all (or highlight and dismiss one at a time)
