Outlook Rules, not the usual problem

I have a really frustrating outlook ‘blocked senders list' problem.
For years I have been using outlook from two separate computers by
restoring the ‘[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{<Identity>}' key
contents, and it has been working just fine. I recently installed a
new laptop with the same operating system 2000 pro and restored the
registry file. But this time, nothing shows up in my outlook ‘blocked
senders' list. Now here is the really weird thing. So now I create
some ‘blocked sender' rules in the blank ‘blocked senders list.' Say
I create two ‘dummy' rules. Then I restore my ‘blocked senders' via a
registry file containing the
‘[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{<Identity>}\Software\Microsoft\Outlook
Express\5.0\Block Senders' key. Now I can only see two of my
thousands of original ‘blocked sender' entries. If I create 3 new
‘dummy' ones and then restore my rules again, I can see 3 of my total
list. If I create 4 new ones, I see 4 and so on. Since I have
thousands of the buggers, I cannot create thousands of ‘dummy new
rules' just to get my rules back. I use the rules to block the
gazillions of scumbags who send me ‘junk mail,' so I don't want to
start creating it from scratch. It is obvious that Outlook Express is
storing a ‘number of rules total' somewhere other than the ‘identities
key.' Please tell me someone else has had this problem and fixed it.

For better, or for worse, these are my thoughts.
