Hi,
Trying to synch my cell phone with OL, I am getting a message from OL
saying--a program is trying to access email addresses. Do you want to allow
it? And it gives a time window (1 mn, 5 mn or 10 mn) to choose to allow.
This could be interfering with my ability to synch.
How do I get rid of this setting?
Thanks.

Saturnin02, I am also experienceing the same message and have not found away
to correct this. It started showing up about 3 or 4 weeks ago out of the
clear blue. Mine only pops up though when I try to read email from ACT! I
too am looking for a way to change the setting. If you figure it out, drop me
a note- i"d be very grateful.

It's your cell phone software -
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2002sp3.htm#problems has a list of
applications known to trigger the warning. You'll need to see if they have
an updated version that doesn't trigger the warning.

Did you see if there is an update to ACT available?

i did not even consider it. I will however. I know that ACT just came out
with a new release Version but was wainting for them to work out the bugs
first before i took the plunge.

Diane,
That is not helpful. No other version available.
I understand the utility of the warning but one of the problems is that the
warning message window appears for a fraction of a second and then
disappears and I juts do not have the time to even click on allow x minutes
of usage.
Is there a way to either make it "stick" and wait for my input or appear at
the top left corner of the screen for example where it would not be hiden by
other pop-up messages that get on top of it--(an additional problem.)
Thanks,
S
