Outlook: Should allow previous event recording without overdue

Several times we need to record information for YESTERDAY or last week when
something happened. When we do this is Outlook it states the appointment is
over due, it's not an appointment it is an event. This person called on this
day, or this shipment arrived at that location last week. Outlook deals with
the present or future. Many times I need to have the past events recorded to
tie in to the present or future. Could I at least turn off everything that
has to do with this event being a task? It's not a task. I'd like to just
look at Outlook, which the NAME indicates the future I know but it would be
nice.

You're quiet right that an event or appointment is not a Task - and that is
what makes your post difficult to understand. Especially the line" could I
at least turn everything off that has to do with this event being a Task"

This may help you....

You can make appointments, events and Tasks in the past in Outlook - only
the reminders are likely to annoy you if you leave them on. Turn off
reminders on the Calendar and Tasks. Tools | Options (from there it depends
on your version)
