When Global Address List entries are imported to Contacts to add personalized
information or notes, the contact is subject to becoming out of date when the
GAL is updated. If a special "tie" is maintained when a GAL entry is added
to Contacts with the user option to have updates occur manually or after
prompt or not at all, the contact would be more useful. The update should be
limitable to prevent overwriting of user-entered information. Users of
handheld devices that use the Contact List as the primary address book and
those in organizations with very large GAL's would greatly benefit.
