Outlook to Entourage - Contacts Mapped Incorrectly

We have now migrated a number of clients, and their contacts have come over
into Entourage with the email address field picking up the contact¹s name:
i.e., [email protected] is now Smith, John and when the Entourage user
sends an email, they obviously come back as undeliverable.
Looking at the contacts, they have the name, and not the email address as
they should. Now the odd thing is that it¹s not with all contacts does
anyone know why this is happening?
Is there a script I can use to fix these before I¹m hung by my clients?

Thanks,
Scott

If the real email address didn't come over at all, in any shape or form,
there's no way a script can find it.

Instead of hoping that Exchange will do the migration for you, you could use
my Export-Import Entourage scripts to migrate contacts, calendar, TASKS and
NOTES from Outlook to Entourage with 100% fidelity, including categories,
and let Exchange take care of the messages only.

Where can we get this script? Sounds like it would be something pretty
handy.

I was hoping that contacts in Outlook (Exchange server) would migrate
properly, yes.
I downloaded a big package of your scripts. It looks like they have names
with Entourage X in mind, but the read-me¹s say 2004 will work too.

I will try these is there one in particular that is meant for this task?

Scott,

I have noticed this problem as well. It appears that if a user changes the
display name. (Using Outlook or OWA) when the contact is brought into
Entourage, it overwrites the contacts email address to the display name. As
a result the email address is lost.

I have been looking for an answer to why this is happening, but haven't yet
found one.

If anyone out there knows, please share. :)
