Outlook upgrade - questions about procedure & CD

P

Peter

I am using Office 97 SR-2 (including Outlook 8.04) on Windows 98 SE

I have a disk that I believe in the Outlook 98 upgrade. Can I install this "on top" of my existing Outlook without having to uninstall my existing Outlook first? Any other actions/precautions I should take

Is my CD what I think it is? (ie, genuine Outlook 98.) Markings on the CD are
Microsoft Select for Licenced Customers Only. Not For Resale
Disc Assy. X03-67616
April 1998 Release. Burgundy
Server. PC Srvr Combo 3V109. Outlook 98. English.

Normally you get Outlook 98 from a service pack to Office 97. What you have may in fact be Outlook 98 but that is not normally how it was obtained. I am not sure if Microsoft ever made a standalone Outlook 98 for PC.
