Outlook VS Goldmine

Hi,

I have a client who uses Outlook - 2000, I believe. He
wants to set it up so that he can either link to an Excel
file or develop fields in Outlook that contain
information such as date of last call, result of call,
when next call is scheduled.

Then, he wants a reminder when the date for the next call
comes up.

I know that they also use GoldMine 4 in his office -
although he doesn't use it himself. I'm wondering if it
would be a better tool for him.

Does anyone have the knowledge of both and can guide me
as to which would be best?
