Outlook won't connect to server. Worked fine 2 weeks ago

We are running Office 2000 on our machines at our office. About two weeks ago one of the machines server related functions went down. I fixed the problem with not being able to access the internet, but Outlook still refuses to let me connect to the server. I've repaired Office, I've uninstalled and reinstalled, I've even deleted the user and recreated him. I've tried just about everything I can think of. Any help would be greatly appreciated. (prolly should've gone with MAC).
