Outlook wont open..HELP!

I really need some help here!
im a total novice at Outlook.

this morning i pressed the button to open outlook and it
wont. it keeps showing the box "this program has performed
an illegal operation and will shut down"..and it sure does!

But i reely on outlook for ALL my emails except the
contact one here. please please please can someone help me
fix this problem..

Does Outlook start in safe mode?

No that doesnt work either. 'path unknown'..or something
like that.

i typed in outlook.exe in run though and its opened a
whole different program. i want outlook express 6!

what other suggestion do you have?!

Then type in the path to outlook.

for example, if you are running outlook 2003, it would be...

start > run > "c:\program files\microsoft office\office11\outlook.exe" /safe

ok button

now after stating this, you are starting to confuse me... do you need help
with microsoft outlook (part of office) or outlook express 6? (i'm not sure
what u mean by i want outlook express 6.)

try posting your question again down the hall in the group named
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress

make sure you get the complete text of the error message. it will help
those trying to give suggestions on what to try.
