Sherri

Any help would be appreciated, problem is with outlook that came with office XP, it imported everything from outlook express and it's the default email program, it asked to be when first installed, I'm running windows XP SP1, I can send email using outlook, but it would not notify me when new ones arrive, I'll have to click on my ISP tab to check new emails then outlook express comes up!!!! even though on my outlook setup the box is checked to notify when new mail arrives, and outlook is the default account
Thanks in advance.

Hi Sherri,

Check

to see if it will help solving your issue.

Or else, try the following workaround:
To work around this issue, disable the Microsoft Firewall Client program on
the Windows XP client computers.

Pls let me know if this helped.

Regards,
Subbu

Thank you much for the reply, I checked the link and everything is setup as stated on the page, so is there a way to delete outlook express! if too much trouble I'll just do without outlook
Sherri.

is there a way to delete outlook express!
No. If you deleted Outlook Express, Outlook would not operate correctly, as
it uses some of Outlook Express' files.
