Outlook XP / Entourage X collaboration

S

Stefan Afendoulis

All,

I am a SOHO user with Win XP with Outlook XP (not an Exchange client) and
Entourage X on Mac OS X 10.2.

I need both systems but would love to see collaboration between the Outlook
and Entourage.

I understand Entourage is now an Exchange client too but a) Exchange is
expensive b) Exchange needs to run in Windows Server c) I use a laptop and
do not want to run Exchange there.

Ideally there would be a server, either Exchange or something compatible
that could run on the iMac. I have looked around and assume Exchange is
doesn't exist for Mac OS X.

Does anyone have a solution?

Any suggestions or comments would be much appreciated.

Regards - Stefano

Entourage is replacing Outlook 2001 on OS X.

You can continue to use Outlook 2001 in Classic.

More info on Exchange can be found here:

The best way to keep mail in sync would be to use an IMAP account. That way
all mail is kept on the server, which you can access from either computer.

As for other data, Microsoft doesn't provide a synchronization tool.
However, you could give Paul Berkowitz's "Export-Import Entourage" script
set a try. That allows export/import of data (not mail) between Outlook and
Entourage.
