outlook xp preview pane

all of a sudden, my preview pane load VERY slowly when a
new message is selected. It use to be almost
instantaneous, not there is about a 5 second delay.
Anyone have any clues? Thanks!

If you have instant messaging turned on in Outlook (tools->options->other),
either turn it off or set it to run in the background.
