Outlook2000 has no News tag

I attempted to set up the Outlook 2000 news reader and when I requested the
newsgroups, Outlook Express raised it's ugly head with an error message that
it couldn't change to that server...well I guess not since I never set it up.
This happened even tho I had told Windows not to ever use Outlook Express.
I am desperate to get to some newsgroup...any suggestions as to how to shut
up Express and get the news tab back in Outlook 2000?

Outlook uses Outlook Express for reading news. Outlook does not have a
newsreader of its own. Look up "newsreader" in OL Help for instructions.
