outlook2000 running on XP does not inlude full url link in email body

When I try to send a url link using File - Send - Link by
email under Internet Explorer 6, I could not get the
actual link to show up in the body of the mail message
(Outlook 2000). It would say "Your files are attached and
ready to send with this message.". If there a way to make
the url appear as an actual hypertext link?
