Outlook2007 Contacts to Entourage?

I have followed the official MS directions for converting my Outlook2007 Contact file (from a PC) to a comma delineated, Windows .csv file and tried importing it into Entourage2008 on my new iMac. I get 800 records imported but they all show up as blank on the line-by-line view and as misc. information when I click on each one. Is this more or less impossible to do cleanly? It seems a lot of people have this issue, but there are no conscise solutions. I can understand why PST files don't work, but thought there must be a way with 2 such advanced programs to merge this information. Thanks!

Some progress - When I export my contacts as a Tab/Comma deliniated .txt file the names import into Entourage but no phones or email addresses. There are also about 100 "False" listings. When I try to import the same file into Address book, the fields look OK indivually, but when I hit "OK" the button turns from blue to white and then nothing else happens.

Thanks Diane - I will investigate your suggestions - My first thought was that GMail only did email addresses, but I haven't investigated this yet. I will look into Plaxo as well and see what I can figure out. I appreciate the suggestion.

Something within exported list may be causing your problem. Open your
CSV file in Excel and verify that your column headers match the data
below. Each row is a contact. A quick glance may make the problem stand out.

Hope this helps!
